Swim ΒΌ Mile, Bike 10 Miles, Run 3.1 Mile
The Gunni High Tri is a sprint triathlon taking place in beautiful Gunnison at a elevation of 7703 this race will push racers to their limits with the high elevations and challenging course. The event begins at 9:00 am on September 6th 2014. The race will begin swimming 500 yards in the Gunnison Community/Aquatics center in their 6 lane 25 yard competition swimming pool. Racer will transition in the community center lawn and ride 12.9 miles around the wonderful Gunnison Valley with spectacular views and wildlife that are hard to describe into words, but seeing if believing. The racers will run 3.1 miles around the Western State Mountaineer and signal peak with a wonderful finish at the community Center. On the night prior (September 5th at 6pm) to the sprint race there will be our kids race for ages 6-14 with the bike and run portion in the area around the Community Center.
